　７月１９～２０日は、土浦市内各地域で盛大な祇園祭が開催されました。
　私も出身地である土浦市田村町と少し前住んでいた土浦市永国、現住所の土浦市永国東の祇園祭を伺い、山車を引いて練り歩かせて頂きました。
　永国東では、子どもたちが「永国東は世界一、住んで良い所」と大きな声で地元をアピールします。この時は、土浦市外に住む家族や親せきも集って楽しみます。
　自分の故郷を感じるひと時であり、絵巻です。
